    Common Names: Love flower, night and afternoon, pastel flower

    Derivation of the name:

    Pseuderanthemum: from the Greek ‘eran’ to love and ‘anthemon’ a flower. ‘Pseudo’ meaning false hence false ‘anthemeum’ a northern hemisphere genus.

    variabile: refers to variability of colour of the flowers, usually white but may be pink or mauve in a raceme
